A Reset: Finding My Way Back to Pura Vida

Today, I am having a colonoscopy.
Anyone who has gone through this knows it is not a glamorous process. Still, as I went through the cleanse, I started to see it as more than just getting ready for a medical test.
It felt like a chance to start fresh.
Since coming back from Costa Rica, I have mostly kept up my healthy habits. But I have also noticed a few old routines slowly coming back.
Sometimes I find myself eating after dinner even when I am not really hungry. I have also been having more sugar and refined carbs than I would like.
Nothing major has changed. I have just slipped a bit from the habits that made me feel so good while living the Pura Vida lifestyle.
Perhaps you have experienced this too.
Life gets busy, and routines change. One evening snack turns into a few, and foods that used to be treats start showing up more often.
The answer is not guilt or punishment.
It is easy to notice and kindly choose a new path.
My Pura Vida Reset
For me, this means going back to meals with lots of vegetables, fruit, protein, whole grains, healthy fats, and plenty of water.
It also means taking a moment before eating at night to ask myself:
Am I truly hungry, or am I tired, bored, stressed, or simply following a habit?
It means enjoying sugar and refined carbs once in a while rather than every day.
It is also about remembering that wellness is more than just food.
My reset includes moving my body, getting outside, drinking water, slowing down, taking deep breaths, sleeping well, and making time for self-care.
This is not about being perfect.
There will still be celebrations, desserts, and days when things do not go as planned. One choice does not undo all the other good choices I make for my health.
A reset is not about starting over because everything went wrong.
It is about going back to what helps us feel nourished, steady, and well.
I have not lost my Pura Vida way of living.
I am just finding my way back, one healthy choice at a time.
Maybe there is a part of your life that could use a reset too.
You do not need to change everything all at once.
Pick one small step and start there.
How will you move forward from here?
