How We Live After We Rise

A few days ago, I wrote about rising.

About choosing life, even in the presence of uncertainty.

But Easter does not end with rising.

The more important question becomes:

How do we continue to choose life after we rise?

As Ray and I sit watching the sun set in Tamarindo, I am aware that this season is coming to a close.

Soon, our time here ends, and we will return home to Nova Scotia.

With that change comes a quiet moment to reflect.

How do we carry this way of living forward with us?

Here, life feels simple.

You notice the sky.

You move your body.

You connect, rest, and simply live.

Pura Vida is more than a phrase.

It is a way of being present in the life you have, exactly as it is.

Living beside cancer has shown me: rising is not a one-time event.

We rise in small, daily choices.

Life does not need to be perfect to be meaningful.

As we get ready to leave Tamarindo, I'm not just taking memories with me.

I am carrying a way of living.

Because Pura Vida is not a place.

It's something we carry with us wherever we go.
