Delicious Granola Recipes for a Healthy Breakfast

Updated: Sep 30, 2024

Granola is an excellent start to a healthy breakfast. Oats contain cancer-preventing fibre and essential vitamins. When it comes to nuts, I often choose walnuts. They are rich in polyphenols and antioxidants. Polyphenols protect body tissues from cancer, coronary heart disease, and inflammation.

Two of my favourite recipes were given to me by friends. One recipe is nut-free, so people with diverticular disease can enjoy the benefits of eating granola. Wheat germ provides a nutty flavour in this recipe. The other recipe comes from a friend who loves simple recipes with big tastes like me. This recipe is a quick, easy, and healthy alternative to your breakfast cereal.

Both recipes include healthy alternatives to white/brown sugar, vegetable oil, sweetened coconut, table salt, and bleached parchment paper.
