Spice Up Your Dinner Routine with This Family Favourite Meatball Curry Recipe

Updated: Oct 1, 2024

After two months of diagnostic appointments, meetings with my oncologist, and preparation with my medication navigators, I was ready. But I wasn't. All control was taken from me. When we find ourselves in this situation, it is important to let go of the things we cannot control and focus on those we can. I control my choices about diet, exercise, and mindful living.

To this end, I went online and started researching recipes that would help me survive  & thrive with stage IV cancer. One of my new favourite cookbooks is Liana Werner-Gray's "Cancer Free with Food." Liana is a cancer survivor with a holistic, natural approach to cooking and eating. She supports people suffering from

anxiety, diabetes, depression, heart disease, obesity and more. This is one of my favourite recipes; it has become a fan favourite of those I shared it with.

"This meal is blasting with turmeric goodness! The aromas, while preparing it, felt therapeutic in itself. My family loved it over rice. I definitely will try it again." Kathy McNally

"We had these meatballs for supper. They are super easy to make and are delicious! I omitted the egg and threw in a handful of gluten-free oats. Turned out perfectly. The recipe is a keeper." Nancy Richards

The meatballs were moist and flavorful. Love the spicy sauce! I found the meatballs hard to form so added oats which solved the problem. I broiled them in the oven instead of frying them. We had leftovers for another meal which is always nice!

They are really good. If using Turkey you may not need the egg. If using the egg and you find them running, add a few natural oats. 🤗
