Discover the Magic of Being Filled with Wonder and Touched by Peace.



On the 13th day of December countdown to Christmas, I am giving myself the gift of photos of nature in support of my peace. These photos were taken by a very talented and kind human. Amy Grant is a master at capturing the beauty of Queens County, where she lives. Every night I look forward to being filled with wonder and, by extension, peace. No matter what is going on in my life, nature finds a way to keep me grounded, calm me, and bless me with the beauty around me.


As we celebrate the countdown to Christmas this year, let’s take a moment each day to wander through our beautiful world. You might want to look out the window, check out a friend who has a photography blog, or take photos yourself. Contact with nature can improve our physical health. It helps reduce blood pressure, heart rate, muscle tension and hormone production. Likewise, nature promotes our mental health by reducing stress, anxiety, and anger and increasing feelings of pleasure.
