Today I found a dime just lying on the ground,
I know in my heart of hearts it is more than what I found.
The dime came from Heaven, an Angel tossed it from above.
To let me know each day, that I am loved. - Kimfetti
I often look to people in the spirit world for signs of comfort and guidance. During my first battle with breast cancer, I missed the presence of my parents, who had comforted me for years during life's difficult moments. The morning of my first chemo session, I woke up very early and was anxious because in taking a drug meant to wipe out my cancer cells including some of my good cells. To relax, I started to prepare clothes to wash and tidy up the house. As I was taking the clothes out of the laundry basket, two coins flew out and landed on the floor next to me. I sat down and cried because I knew my parents were with me.
When I arrived at the hospital, I was greeted by the head nurse. Oncology nurses are the frontline leaders to assess your mental status and monitor vital signs, with mental health being the primary concern. I was surprised to hear my mother's voice as she spoke. I asked her if she was from North Sydney, Cape Breton. She nodded: "Yes, I am." "Why do you ask?" I told her that my mother was an Ivey from North Sydney, and her voice, accent and friendly manner were all exactly like my mother's. She nodded and said she knew many from the large Ivey clan. I walked into the chemo room with confidence and knew my mom was right there with me.
I share these two stories to remind you that you are not alone in your struggles. Start looking outside of your fear and sadness for signs of those who continue to love you from the spiritual world. My hope today is that we can all find signs that allow us to breathe a sigh of relief and move forward, knowing that the love we know and cherish is with us every step of the way.
Cannot agree more with your thoughts on finding dimes . Too many experiences personally to deny it . ♥️
